The end of an era...

.....or so it seems. *sigh* Last October I decided to have my tubes tied, and had the surgery in December '07. 3 kids is plenty, especially when you consider that when we're in the States, that number doubles. Plus, I really didn't want to end up preggers while we were in Japan, I wanted to be able to thoroughly enjoy all of my time here, which would have been impossible with baby strapped to me 24/7. I'm still sure I made the right decision....most of the time. Occassionaly I still get 'baby fever', especially when I'm around a newborn or accidentally wander into the baby section in a store.

The last vestige of babyhood.

Gone is the long, curly baby hair, so long he wore it in braids! It's been replaced by a big boy "high n' tight". Bottles have been gone for a long, long time, and diapers are finally a thing of the past! No more bedrail and the potty chair made it's exit several weeks ago, and yesterday, as I handed Ethan his favorite SpiderMan sippy up, he emphatically told me "MOTHER (although is sounds like MUDDER!), sippy cups are for tiny babies!" He's been drinking out of a big boy cup for almost a year, but sometimes I still give him a sippy cup because.....well, because, he's my baby! But no more. And no more babies for me. *sigh*
