On Wednesday we unloaded 842 CASES of Girl Scout cookies! The cookie rally was Friday night, and cookie torture aka Girl Scout cookie sales have officially begun. We had our first booth sale today.

You honestly wouldn't believe the rules and restrictions the GS's have in place regarding sales, nor the RIDICULOUS restrictions imposed by the base leadership that we must adhere to for the privilege of selling on base, you'd think we were pushing porn at an elementary school! All the fun has been completely sucked out of selling cookies. It's now a major pain in the ass that no one looks forward to...

...but oh, those Samoas!

In case you've never had the pleasure of wrapping your mouth around a Samoa, it's a vanilla cookie, covered in caramel and toasted coconut and drizzled with chocolate. It probably tastes even better because you can only buy them from the Girl Scouts, and only once a year! So even if you stock up, once their gone, you have to wait for January to roll around again before you can buy more! Sweet, sweet, simultaneously crunchy and chewy Samoa, how I've missed you since last cookie season!
